USTA extend support to protesting KGBV teachers | | | Kishtwar, Mar 5 : Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (USTA) held its meeting at Kishtwar under the chairmanship of District President USTA Kishtwar Siraj-ud-Din and extended its support to the protesting 'KGBV teachers' demanding their regularization. As per the details available with "Early Times" the members in this meeting deliberated upon various issues pertaining to ReTs and also resolved to extend their moral support to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) teachers who are on indefinite hunger strike demanding their regularization. "It is very unfortunate rather a step motherly treatment by authorities with District Kishtwar that the files of those ReTs are yet eating dust with education department who have completed their tenure as ReT in the year 2013" said agitated speakers and added that the regularization process of other districts of Jammu has been completed by November 2015. Expressing concerns over the delay in the regularization of KGBV teachers, the speakers said all KGBV teachers were appointed on the ReTs pattern and also on merit bases at zonal levels surprisingly the education department is doing step motherly treatment with them. Other demands highlighted during the meeting included delay in release of salaries of teachers, monthly arrears from August 2014 to November 2014 of regularized EVs (Education Volunteers) converted into ReTs and later to General line teachers working SSA. Chander Parkash Rathore, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Jaffar Ahmed Bawani, Bansi Lal, Mushtaq Ahmed, Karan Singh, Shakoor Din, Ramesh Kumar, Abdul Rashid, Manzoor Ahmed and others also spoke in this meeting
