| Rotary club celebrates its 111th anniversary | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5 : Rotary Club of Jammu City today celebrated its 111th anniversary in which they highlight the humanitarian service undertaken during this year.
According to press release, Club President Rtn. Sanjeev Vaid informed the media that a young lady named Anuradha suffering from congenital heart disease is being sent for operation through Rotary's ongoing humanitarian programme of "gift of life".
The President proudly announced the Rotary Club of Jammu city executed a project at village Khogipur, Bishnah by providing all year round irrigation system at a cost of around 21 lakh rupees.
Now under this Gift of Life Rotary club Jammu City has come to the assistance of a young Girl Anuradha , aged 22 years, a daughter of poor street tea vendor who was suffering from a multiple severe cardiac condition.
However in this case as the child is above 18 years, she could not be covered under 100 percent free of cost and whereas a financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 1.25 lacs was required which otherwise works out to the tune of Rs. 6.25 lacs.
The Rotary club Jammu city provided this assistance from its donation and the rest in collaboration with National heart Institute Delhi. |
