Security beefed up across Ramban after inputs of Fidayeen attack | | | Early Times Report
BANIHAL, Mar 8: Security along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and on special installations in Ramban district like Railway Station Banihal, Baglihar project and other parts of the district was beefed up after inputs of a possible Fidayeen attack, police said. Special check-points have been established on different spots of highway between Jawahar Tunnel and Patnitop section of the highway following the inputs of a possible Fidayeen attack, said senior police officer. Security has also been tightened around vital installations like Banihal Railway station and tunnels along the strategic highway and on Baglihar project. Patrolling has been increased across the district to foil any possible attack. The vehicles of both sides were checked by police, army on different check points. Frisking of passengers is also being carried out by police and other security agencies properly at late evening and on night also. Road patrolling parties of army and police were on job to make rounds on the highway in the district. |
