Pak plays dirty game, misleads international community | Pathankot Attack | | Early Times Report jammu, Mar 8: Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned to get its back patted for "investigating" Pathankot attack. Just a few days after United States of America hailed Pakistan for acting against the terrorists responsible for attacking the Pathankot airbase, on Tuesday British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond joined the chorus and complimented Pakistan saying, "I must appreciate the beginning of investigation by Pakistan into the Pathankot attack." Going a step ahead he described Jammu and Kashmir as an "issue" and advised India to resume dialogue with Pakistan and urged both countries not to provide space to non-State actors, terrorists to derail the talks process. A political expert while commenting on the tactics adopted by Pakistan said, "Neighbouring country is trying to build pressure on India by involving America and Britain. India should make it clear to Pakistan that third party interference is not acceptable and it should stop patting its back for conducting half hearted investigations into Pathankot attack." He said, "Pakistan conducted flimsy investigations into Pathankot attack and didn't name anyone in the FIR which was registered in connection with the attack. Investigations have proved to be mere eyewash as the mastermind behind the attack JeM Chief Masood Azhar was given a clean chit." An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "India needs to realize that Pakistan is trying to make Pathankot attack as an international issue and is giving a notion that it's investigating agencies carried out meticulous investigation into the attack. While the fact is that probe ordered by Pakistan Prime Minister was nothing more than a farce aimed at hoodwinking India and international community." He said, "Besides Pathankot attack Pakistan is trying to attract the attention of the international community towards Kashmir and is trying to project it as an issue. Our political leadership should understand the dirty game being played by Pakistan." It's in place to mention here that India has made it clear to Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and boundaries cannot be redrawn. Just a few days ago Defence Minister Manoj Parikkar had asked Pakistan to maintain sanctity of the Line of Control and had stated that Pathankot attack was carried out by the non-State actors with the help of the Pakistan. "It's strange that despite Pakistan being directly involved in the Pathankot attack it's trying to project itself as India's friend. The fact is that attack on Pathankot airbase was carried by the terrorists who were backed by the Pakistan Intelligence agency ISI and the JeM chief Masood Azhar," said an analyst. He said, "India should take a serious note of the propaganda unleashed by Pakistan and it should give a befitting reply to it." |
