Nirmal Singh's assertions create flutter | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 8: At a time when all the BJP leaders have chosen silence on the matter of government formation, ex Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh has done it again- showed signs of desperation and enthusiasm by reiterating the self coined expression -'sarkar jaldi ban jayegi……'. After remaining calm on issue for some time he stated it again exhibiting impatience and excitement over formation of government albeit by twisting the eagerness with what he elaborated on achievements of the 10 month long alliance government. Even as Dr Nirmal Singh clubbed his eagerness and desperation for the new dispensation to come into existence with so called achievements of 10 month long rule BJP had with PDP, sources said his uncalled for utterances yet again on the issue has not gone well with the party leadership. Convening of press conference at his official residence today byNirmal Singh today has created flutter within the party sources said adding that they are wondering when those running the organizations are staying away from issuing statements on this count, what prompted Nirmal Singh to say on his own that government will be formed soon. Sources also said that speaking tall about the achievements of the PDP-BJP government during in less than its one year stint is also being mocked at as these claims have come at a time when BJP's popularity is waning in Jammu region in particular. This is also not being taken seriously among the supporters as all the BJP ministers and Dr Singhin capacity of Deputy Chief Minister had distanced himself from the workers and cadres all through the tenure as a result of which they felt isolated and unattended deliberately by the government of which BJP was a part. Moreover, they contend that the achievements so listed by the ex Deputy Chief Minister belie the claims as these barely match what is seen on ground in terms of performance of the government. In the backdrop of these observations, sources said within the party and outside Dr Singh's assertions made today both for achievements as also with regard to government formation are nothing but signs of deep desperation motivated by lust for power and desire to stick to chair more for personal aggrandizement than to serve the masses, sources said. Party leaders sources said have taken these assertions in bad light also in the backdrop of the fact that so far PDP leadership is adamant on government formation and there is no official or unofficial declaration from that party that shows it wants to form the government at the earliest as contended by Dr Singh.
