Azad 's secularism questioned | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 8: Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Gulam Nabi Azad's remark on secularism was questioned by All India Backward Caste Union here today in a press release. They alleged that Congress Party which ruled for the maximum period in the country did not allow the justice to flow in its natural way inspite of the provisions enshrined in the Indian Constitution. But high voluminous slogan of "Secularism" is being raised without giving it any sense to it. Speakers and participants concluded that "to snatch the constitutional rights of the poor" was the only aim and for this slogan of secularism was used to raise time and again. Secularism without social justice is meaningless and senseless and this was not the character of Congress Party besides other political parties like N.C-BJP, PDP in the state as well as at the centre. BJP raised the slogan of social justice during elections but shut its eyes just after the formation of the government and both the state unit of BJP and Centre seems busy to slap sedition charges on innocent people. However, Azad played an active role in J&K State with some period as state Chief Minister but did not implement Mandal report inspite of promises made in a rally at Sidhara Jammu in 2012, which proves that it is just slogans for making befool to poor people. |
