Revenue Department dislodging poor farmers | | | Early Times Report POUNI, May 7: The poor farmers in villages Letar, Dabh, Sadini, Bharakh, Aila, Khori etc of Tehsil Pouni who are making their both ends meet by tilling the land since generations, have been issued notices by the Revenue Department for their eviction. They said that their ancestors have constructed kachha houses over this land and they continue to live therein till date. These villagers said that though their financial condition was very poor but they were able to feed their children for the last more than 50 years under the successive governments but when they aspired for a better future and voted to Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), they have been served with the notice for4 eviction from their abode. They said that they are State Subject and are permanently living in this area since generations. They said that the government has resorted to a very cruel action against these poor farmers who hardly able to feed their children with the meager crop of this land, have no other source of income and shelter on this earth. The residents of these villages have appealed to the Revenue authorities to withdraw these notices else they will be forced to come on road along with their children and block the roads. |
