Factionalism in Cong not allowing BJP, NC leaders to join party | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 7: Despite getting crushing defeat in Parliament and Assembly elections in J&K, Congress leadership appeared to have not learn any lesson because factionalism is glare in the badly defeated party. It is result of the factionalism that party leadership has failed to induct some senior leaders of the other parties, who have shown their interests to join Congress. Shockingly one faction in the party is trying to convince some mass base leaders of other parties to join Congress , another group is sabotaging the move just for the sake of opposing such move. None of the group is working as well-wisher of the party. Three senior BJP leaders including two former MLAs are in touch with the Congress party. And these leadership have given their consent to join the party but due to factionalism the party this decision can not be materialized. As reportedly earlier some National Conference stalwarts are seriously thinking to join Congress party in the days to come. Although these senior leaders have not materialized their decisions to join Congress, they have opened channel of communications with Congress leadership in this regard. Credible sources said that these two leaders are very much aware that their future is not secure in the National Conference because graph of the party is going down in Jammu region after party leadership has taken extreme anti-Jammu stand on many issues. Secondly the present leadership of the party is not giving importance to those mass base leadership who have been associated with the party since long. As reported earlier, earlier a senior National Conference leader from R S Pura belt had resigned the party. This leader had shown his interest to join Congress. Another National Conference leader from Kathua district has also opened channel of communication with Congress leadership. But a faction is opposing this move. |
