M S Nazki Poonch, May 7: A 75 year old man, who had illegally crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) over seven years back, has now unlawfully entered Indian territory. Mohammad Sharief, son of Ghlam Hassan, crossed the border in 2009 and went to PoK to meet his brother who is living at Dandi, Kotli. Sources said Sharief was arrested in PoK and put in jail where he served a three-year term on the charges of being a Raw agent. He was set free in 2012 and since then, he was living with his brother Naseem Mohammad at Dandi. Sources said he sneaked to this side of LoC from Dairy Dansy village at about 8.30 am and went straight to sarpanch Mohammad Maroof who took him to 21 Punjab Regiment stationed on LoC 21. Army immediately took him into custody. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Mendhar, confirmed that Sharief had returned to his home town after crossing the border and was presently under the Army custody. Police would also interrogate him after he was handed over to them by army, he added. |
