Jammu, May 7: Principal Sessions Judge, Samba, M L Manhas has rejected the bail application of two persons who had allegedly gangraped a minor girl.
Accused -- Kabir Dass and Sanjeev Kumar - were alleged to have abducted the minor girl on June 13, 2015 and then raped her.
The judge, after hearing the two sides, observed that courts could not lose sight of the fact that crime of violence upon women and minor children were on increase and therefore, the prepetratrors of the crime must be dealt with iron hands and a dastardly, diabolic and fiendish manner in which the crime was committed by the accused upon the prosecutirx, was not only undesireable but also against the public interest and such types of offences were to be dealt with severity and showing leniency in such matters would really be a case of misplaced sympathy.
With these observations, the court rejected the bail application of the accused. |
