HC orders extradition of 3 Pakistanis | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, May 7: The state high court has ordered deportation of three Pakistan nationals to their country within eight weeks. The court passed the direction after hearing separate petitions filed by the Pakistanis through their counsel. Those directed to be deported included Mohammad Saleem Rehmani of Nawab Shah Pakistan, Asif Khan of Check Rawalakot, Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Murtaza Aqib of Janagir Colony, Gukrawala, Pakistan. Disposing of the petition, a bench of Justice Janak Raj Kotwal directed government through Principal Secretary Home to take necessary steps for his deportation to his native country and complete the exercise expeditiously as far as possible within a period of eight weeks. The court's direction followed submissions by the counsel that 3rd additional sessions judge Srinagar had acquitted Rehmani of the offence under section 7/25 of Arms Act. He urged the court to order Saleem's deportation. He said the high court also ordered deportation of Asif Khan and Murtaza Aqib within the same time. |
