Kavinder Gupta, State President (BJP) Sat Sharma, and Rajesh Gupta. In the interaction session the President of the CTF put forth some demands & suggestions of the Traders before the Dy. Chief Minister, Speaker and other MLAs. They said that globalization has badly impacted the small scale business industries so the government should act as felicitator to save the small scale industries. "During the last six decades very few markets have come up with governmental assistance. Keeping in view the natural growth, corresponding floor area should be provided by having a comprehensive plan to construct new clusters of markets as well as expansion of the existing markets like Ware House, Fruit Complex, Narwal & Transport Nagar. Mixed land use in existing markets in colonies can be a fair option as well", they said. They further demanded extension of date for filing objections and suggestions for master plan, smart city plan. They also said, "To have better skyline and face lift of city of Temples we must have a fool proof programmes so that all litigation going on must be decided by taking certain lenient measures acceptable to both parties, (Govt. and civil side) for the betterment of public. Being a tourism related State and lot of pilgrims for Mata Vaishno Devi Ji and Baba Amarnath Ji visit our city and the message of our city does not taken well by them, we all must collaborate to uplift the face of our city", they said. They also said that Wallmart was meant to sell items on whole sale rate, but same has been doing retail business, which was hurting the interests of traders. "Already the online business has given a dent to business but after repeated appraisal to government about retail business being done by Wallmart but no action has been taken yet", they said. |
