Inter-zonal sports meet of Jammu begins 5/7/2016 11:34:02 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 7: After completing the zonal level activities, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) today started the next level inter-zone district level sports meet in the discipline of kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, wrestling and cricket for boys' under-14 and under-17 at twin venues, here. The competition in the disciplines of kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball and wrestling was declared open by Joint Director DYSS, Madan Lal at Government Higher Secondary School Domana. Speaking to the young audience of participants, he wished everyone success in the upcoming events. "Around 1300 students drawn from 14 zones of Jammu district are taking part in these events," informed district officer (DYSS), Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. The Detailed Results: UNDER-14: VOLLEYBALL: Miran Sahib zone bt Akhnoor zone 2-1; Khor Zone beat Bhalwal zone 2-0; Satwari zone bt Choki Choura 2-1. KABADDI: Jammu zone beat Bhalwal 25-05; Bishnah zone beat R S Pura 15-05; Miran Sahib beat Arnia zone 18-07. KHO-KHO: Jammu beat Miran Sahib 6-5; Khour bet Bishnah 3-2; Dansal beat Marh 5-4; Akhnoor beat Choukichora 5-0; Gandhi Nagar beat Arnia zone 6-3. CRICKET: Satwari zone beat Bishnah; Bhalwal beat Dansal zone; Khour beat Miran Sahib.
