Early Times Report

Srinagar, June 3: Javid Mustafa Mir, who has been dropped from the Mehbooba Mufti led government seems upset with the party, who these days acts like an Opposition members in the Legislative Assembly.
Mir, who was the Revenue Minister in the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led Cabinet was dropped from the Mehbooba Mufti Government spent most of the times with the Opposition leaders and sometimes also support them in various issues in the Legislative Assembly.
Mir while participating in the budget discussion had all praise for the Omar Abdullah. "Jab Apki hukumat Ayegi Inshallah, (when you will be in the power again) I hope you will chose Davendar Rana as Finance Minister of Jammu and Kashmir," Javid Mir said. The PDP-BJP ministers and MLAs seemed embarrassed when Mir was praising the NC.
Similarly, he could be seen on the benches which are meant for Opposition leaders. "It seems he is playing the role of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly," a PDP MLA said. Mehbooba dropped two cabinet ministers-Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and Javid Mustafa Mir-while Mohammad Ashraf Mirand Abdul Majeed Padroo were minister of state in the previous PDP-BJP government.
Their non-inclusion in the cabinet is believed that PDP President Mehbooba Mufti wants to convey that no "dissidence or indiscipline" will be tolerated in the party. During one of a party meet at her Fair View residence after her father's death, Mehbooba had reportedly told party leaders that those who create "dissent, indiscipline and non-performers" won't be included in the government. All these leaders are sitting on a same row and bench in the Legislative Assembly and have been supporting each other when someone raises any issues.
Bukhari is party treasurer and represents Amira Kadal constituency in Assembly while Javed Mustafa Mir represents Chadoora constituency. He won three elections in a row from Chadoora. Another dropped one, Ashraf Mir gained prominence in the party and was termed as 'giant killer' after he defeated former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in State Assembly elections in 2014.
Sources said Bukhari was dropped for his closeness to BJP camp during around three month long stalemate on government between allies-PDP and BJP-following demise of Mufti Sayeed.
