| Govt lecturers, teachers allegedly continuing 'tuitions', Deptt napping | | |

Udhampur, June 6: Although the state government is putting tall claims of streaming the education sector but the so called much hyped claims seemed top fall flat as many government lecturers and teachers are allegedly continuing with tuitions at private coaching centers in Udhampur or some are running their own coaching centers while authorities concerned are napping over the issue.
According to an official in education department, the state government while taking a revolutionary decision has put a blanket Ban on tuition but it is unfortunate the same yet has not been put in its letter and spirits in Udhampur.
"Lecturers/ teachers in Udhampur are conducting tuitions thumbing down the government order while the education department authorities seemingly are napping over the issue but for their own vested interests, another official added on promised anonymity.
Citing various examples of teachers enjoying immunity, sources alleged that one of the glaring example is one Kewal Gupta Lecturer Physics who recently posted in Govt HSS Chanunta Udhampur is taking tuitions at his residence in Dina Nagar opposite D N Palace Udhampur and in the early morning on holidays.
"Another Lecturer (Math) Pawan Kumar recently posted in DIET Kud after modification got his placement near his residence Kallar near BDO office Udhampur while Brij Nath Bhat Migrant Master who allegedly never attends his duty conducts tuition opposite Kalsotra Hardware Udhampur from 2pm onwards, they said.
Sources also added that one Pawan Kumar Lecturer (Physics) under orders of transfer to Govt HSS Banoon (Doda) is conducting tuition at his residence Jawahar Nagar Udhampur while Munish Gupta Teacher Govt HSS (Boys) Udhampur is taking tuition opposite Kamal Sweet Shop Udhampur from2pm onwards. "Meanwhile Ashwani Badyal teacher who also never attends his duties at his posting place but is always found at ZEO Jib takes private tuition near SBI Udhampur from 3pm onwards, one Satish Bhat Lecturer (Chemistry) posted at Govt HSS Garhi is taking tuition at his residence Housing Colony Udhampur from 3pm onwards, sources said, while adding, "many others too are involved in this mal practice allegedly with hand in glove with the committee formulated by the Education Deportment to check the menace of tuitions."
When contacted Chef Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur Bishan Singh briefly said If above records are true , the department shall take strict action against all those who will be found involved in the mal practice. |
