Unhappy with SSP's work, minister writes for his transfer 6/6/2016 11:34:16 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 6: A J&K minister, who has all of a sudden developed hatred for a district SSP in Jammu region over his style of working, has set in motion the exercise of replacing him with another officer. The minister's constituency falls under the SSP's jurisdiction. He was posted there in January last and enjoyed a good equation with the minister till a few months back. The relations, however, got strained after the minister's intervention in his work, police sources said. The minister was also alleged to have rebuked the SSP for two to three times over his style of working. He is a first-time MLA. "The SSP now does not attend the functions of the minister and sends his juniors to ensure the safety of the venue," sources said and added that irked by the police officer's absence in his functions, he had spoken to PHQ to immediately transfer him. Sources said the minister had personally spoken to some SSPs for their posting in his district. One of them is at present is posted in a wing of CID. Before his transfer to CID, he was SSP of a district in Jammu region, sources said. He had also spoken to another SSP, who was presently posted as a commandant in armed police. He too has served as a district SP in Jammu region.
