PSI enjoys 'unauthorised' holidays in New Delhi 6/6/2016 11:33:40 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 6: Known for his notoriety, a Probationer Sub-Inspector (PSI) is alleged to be enjoying holidays unauthorisedly in New Delhi with a girl friend. He was shifted to District Special Branch (DSB) by then SSP, Jammu, for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 13 lakh during his tenure as in-charge of a police post on the city outskirts. The matter had come to the notice of senior police officers when his audio clipping, demanding Rs 13 lakh from a property dealer for allowing him to encroach a government land had gone viral. He had allegedly taken money to give free hand to the encroachers to encroach a nullah, thus violating a High Court direction in this regard. He was alleged to have amassed a huge wealth, sources alleged, demanding a probe into all his alleged deals as the police post incharge. Sources said the unauthorised missing of the PSI came to limelight when a contractor lodged complaint with senior police officers against him. However, during preliminary inquiry by the department, it was revealed that he had been staying in New Delhi for the last six months, though his posting has been showed in DSB.
