Terror should not be allowed to revisit J&K: Bhalla

Jammu, June 6: In the wake of persistent terrorist attacks in valley and Intelligence inputs about infiltration attempts by the militants, Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla reacting over spurt in terrorist violence in the Kashmir valley over the last few days has demanded high level review of security scenario in Jammu and called for strengthening security measures on the borders and hinterland to prevent any fresh strike by the militants.
According to press release, the recent attacks in the valley send out a clear message of their intent and capacity to attack at will across the state. It is also quite evident that the terrorist cadre operating in the state has been specifically instructed to target the security forces, especially the Jammu and Kashmir Police, former Minister maintained.
"The terrorist attack may affect flow of tourists to Jammu and Kashmir including pilgrim tourist to Mata Vaishno Devi ji and Shri Amarnath ji cave shrines," Bhalla pointed out while addressing a public meeting at Sanjay Nagar organized by Ch Dwarka Ex Corporator.
Prominent amagst others who also addressed gathering include Kulbushan Sharma, S Atter Singh, Dildar Singh, Tanvir Mohd, S Darshan Singh, Shashi khanna , Subash Choudhary, Vijay Gupta, Rohit Tondan, Harbans Lal, Mohinder Singh, Sanjay Murli, Bharat Kumar, Suresh Kumar and Anand Kishore.
Saying that state government failed to provide people with the basic amenities and infrastructure required for catering to their daily problems and woes like electricity and supply of drinking water, the former Minister said it was unfortunate that people were being subjected to load shedding of electricity for long hours.
Bhalla slammed Govt for snubbing yet again people of Jammu province with a proposed move to close completely the civil secretariat in Jammu for full six months-a move that would further add to the woes and difficulties of the already suffering people of Jammu region.
Pointing towards power crises in Jammu region he said that when temperature is hovering over 45 to 47 degree Celsius, unscheduled power cuts has become a routine affair which adding miseries to the people. While expressing his grave concern over mounting problems of the common masses, he said that due to its mis-governance this regime has lost its credibility.
