TDF demands to expedite inquiry on felling of trees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 6: Kuldeep Kumar Rao, President Thathri Development Front said despite pro-people approach of the Minister the red tapism is a strong impediment in the way of delivery of justice. The inquiry pertaining to the unjustified felling of trees on Kahara-Jai road project from Halaran to Jai in Tehsil Thathri, District Doda, saving thousands of deodar trees instead of few hundreds, the inquiry ordered by the Forest Minister, entrusted to divisional Forest Officer Bhadarwah is yet to move the other table keeping the local resident of villages, Joura Kalan & Budhi of Tehsil Thathri, District Doda, waiting without any sign of relief. Rao said though the intensions of Minister for forest are right & genuine but the system is faulty & jaundiced. Simultaneously in this connection, the aggrieved people of these villages also called on R&B Minister, Abdul Rehman Veeri on 22-04-206 & the Minister has sought detailed report from SE, Doda but till date no action has been taken in this regard by the concerned SE, Doda. In the past either wrong reports were submitted to higher authorities because of the vested interests of the officers submitted these reports or in other instances they were pressurized politically to submit wrong reports. |
