AoI Udhampur submits memorandum to Dir I&C, MD SICOP | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 6: A deputation of Association of industries (AoI) Udhampur today met with Director Industries and Commerce (I&C) Rajinder Singh Tara and MD SICOP Ratten Lal Tikku and apprised him about various problems being faced by unit holder and also submitted a memorandum of demands to both the authorities. The delegates led by Udhayvir Singh president AoI, called on Director Industry and Commerce and MD SICOP at their respective offices Udhyog Bhawan Jammu. During the meeting the senior Vice president Raghubir Gandotra highlighting problems of busssines entrepreneurs said that the IID Centre Battal Ballian was established by Industrial department / SICOP in the year 1998 with total area1051 Kanals including 100 Kanals temporarily allotted to Kashmir migrant which was now under the Possession to CRPF. "In Battal Ballian Industrial area roads are in worst condition and lights are not properly functioning, he said, adding, "association time to time have raised these issues with SICOP and higher authorities but all in vain. He further added that there are many educated youth who wants to establish their small units which is possible only if Govt/concerned authorities create suitable ambiance by offering hassle free formalities. "If govt of the J&K really serious for industrialization and eradication educated unemployment then Inspite of manufacturing service sector should also be promoted viz. repairing/rewinding of motors, repairing and servicing of vehicles and all type engineering works shall also be including in Industrial activities." After hearing the problems the Director Industries and Commerce (I&C) assured the members that he will try his best to redress the issues at earliest so as to develop industrial sector in Udhampur district. Meantime MD SICOP also assured the Association about repair of drains of Battal Ballian industrial area, black topping of roads, and installation of street lights etc.Ravinder Thakur, Sukhdev Singh and Sushil Sharma were also the part of the delegation which called on Director I&C and MD SICOP. |
