RAMBAN, June 6 : The workers of Congress took out a protest rally through the main bazaar Ramban and held a protest demonstration here today at Bus Stand in protest against the alleged mal-administration and anti -people policies of the BJP-PDP coalition government. The protest rally was led by Secretary, JKPCC, Ex-MLA, Ramban, Ashok Kumar, District Congress President, Arun Singh Raju, District Congress Working President, Farooq Ahmed Katoch and District President (Women),Narinder Kour. After vociferous demonstration at the Bus Stand Ramban which had disrupted the traffic on the NHW (NH44) for some time the deputation submitted a memorandum consisting of their main demands and grievances to ADC, Ramban, Babu Ram as the DC, Ramban, Mohd Aijaz Assad was away in a meeting at Jammu. The memorandum mainly included the anomalies and inconsistencies of NFSA, the insufficient ration supplies to the rationees ; ignoring of local unemployed in the NHW widening/4 -laning project ;paucity of staff in hospitals and schools ; unavailability of drinking water in Degree College, Ramban; demand of starting classes at Jawahar Navodya Vidyalya in Ramban besides raising other issues. |
