One Rajneesh Sharma, a local activists filed a RTI Plea to Health Department Kathua to seek information about funds under Hospital development fund from 2013 till date in SDH Billawar, details of medicines purchased at Sub centre level from Apr 1 2015 along with details and whether purchase of medicines have been made under NRHM in SDH Billawar for deliveries, tenders and quotations thereof and details of vouchers. "But the concerned department has failed to provide information within time period, said RTI activist, adding, " the delay itself indicates that there is something wrong in the purchasing of medicines for SDH Billawar." In a press conference, Rajneesh Sharma said, "CMO Kathua constituted a committee to find out the record that could not be compiled /verified within prescribed time period." He said that that BMO Billawar has failed to comply with the provision of the RTI Act intentionally and is allegedly hiding the information. The RTI activist has appealed Health Minister to intervene in the matter and demanded strict action against CMO Kathua BMO Billawar and constituted committee to probe the case. |
