Jammu, June 10: Has senior Congress leader RS Chib joined BJP…? Going by the his picture posted against a press note of one of its ministers on the official website of BJP, he has indeed joined the party. Visit the website and one gets an instant impression with his pic on display, albeit against a news item about Forest Minister Choudhary Lal Singh addressing a gathering in Katra.
In what can be seen as a huge lapse in the working of BJP's IT cell, it has posted a picture of RS Chib addressing a gathering somewhere with women mostly in the audience, whereas the content of the press note is explicit with details that of Choudhary Lal Singh, Forest Minister in the PDP-BJP alliance government talking about a project report for demarcation and fencing of forest land across the state.
The point in reference here is not about the content of the news, instead the massive error, rather reflecting a goof up in the functioning of BJP's IT cell which otherwise claims to be flawless and ahead of all other parties. There is no denying the fact that IT cell of the party has gone high tech with launch of a couple of apps lately, apparently to popularize the party and achievements of the government, both in the state and Centre led by Prime Minister Narender Modi. With some professionals on board and on their mark in terms of keeping the website, facebook and other such things updated, one wonders as to how this misstep happened.
Both Lal Singh and RS Chib are widely known public figures with whom everyone in every party is acquainted. One wonders how people on board IT cell have failed to recognize the Congress leader in the picture and with almost eyes shut, posted it against the news of Forest minister, who are out and out different both in looks as also their overall persona. One wonders how none could differentiate or notice the lapse in posting of the picture, so erroneously done either in haste or randomly without even having a look. Or, on the lighter side, is it that Congress leaders are too impressed with the functioning of BJP's IT cell and its website that it cannot resist posting one picture through any channel…? Either ways, it is a goof up people concerned need to rectify with an apologetic note in order to save its image. |
