Doda, June 10: A cloudburst today morning caused considerable damage in many villages in Goha area of Marmath Doda, however there was no reports of loss to human life in this incident. Meanwhile Army launches rescue operation in affected area.
According to reports, a large spread agricultural land destroyed and connecting roads got affected due to cloud burst the affected villagers have taken shelter in their homes.
"The cloudburst in Goha reportedly damaged roads, agricultural land and also damaged a suspension bridge which leads to the area is also under threat which is posing major hardships in the movement of people but Indian Army had lunched rescue operation in affected area, reports said.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Marmat Yasir Wani informed that there is no loss of life and a team from the administration has left for the affected villages to assess the damage.
Some Panchayat representatives have complained about the failure to provide rations in villages that have lost road links. |
