Kathua, June 10: Irritate over alleged rude behavior of Station Housing Officer (SHO) Hiranagar and his failure in maintaining law & order in entire Hiranagar, a large number of people staged huge protest demonstration and blocked National Highway at Dayalchak Kathua.
Adv Vijay Kumar, Prem Nath Dogra, Gopal Mahajan and other prominent of district Kathua led the protest and demanded early transfer of the said police officer.
Addressing the protestors speakers alleged that law and order situation got worsened during last six months since the SHO Hiranagar Naveen Angral took the charge. They alleged that many a tiems he was seen behaving rudely with the complainant visiting to the police station. Meanwhile he had failed to maintain law and order as the incidents of robbery, gambling, smuggling, sale of illicit liquor allegedly have increased during his tenure which shows failure on the part of SHO Hiranagar.
Adv, Vijay Kumar said, "SHO hiranagar has no manner to talk with general public and prominent citizens. Ravi Kumar, said people are fed up to his functioning and demanded strict action against him including his immediate transfer.
Meantime Addl SP Khalil Poswal rushed on spot with his team pacified the protestors and ensured thorough inquiry in the complaint filed by public against SHO. |
