Atleast 09 including two army jawans injured in separate mishaps | | | Early times report
Rajouri Jun 10: Atleast nine persons including two soldiers and a retired principal were reportedly injured in three separate road accidents in Nowshera and Rajouri tehsils while a driver of passenger vehicle was attacked and injured by some goons near Rajouri town on today evening. Police sources said that a Gypsy belonging to Mahar Regiment attached with Infantry Brigade while on routine official duty near the Line of Control (LoC) skidded off the road in Nowshera tehsil in Rajouri district today. "All the occupants including two soldiers and a official of CID branch of Rajouri police were injured and were treated in the army hospital at Nowshera, police sources said. Later the head constable (CID) namely Liaquat Ali resident of Rajouri and posted in Chingus sector, who received fracture in his right arm was shifted to District Hospital (DH) at Rajouri. In an another accident under the jurisdiction of Nowshera Police Station, five persons were injured two among them seriously when the car in which they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a dry rivulet near police post at Thalka on Jammu-Poonch highway in the evening today. All the injured including Mohd Zaman a retired principal were immediately shifted to the nearby Army Hospital by the soldiers from the nearby army unit and after first aid they were referred to sub district hospital at Nowshera. Yet in a similar road accident at Muradpur near Rajouri town, an aged person was injured during head on collision of his Maruti Omni Van (temporary No JMU-BH-0660) with a Tipper truck bearing registration NoJK11-5359. "The driver of the Van who was trapped in the Vehicle was taken out by the people gathered on the spot and was later admitted in the District Hospital," sources said. Meanwhile the driver of a passenger vehicle was attacked a group of youth attacked the driver with a sharp edge weapon near Khandli bridge on Rajouri-Kalakot in the later evening hours today.
