Kathua, June 10: The Excise Department Jammu has tightened its noose on violators of the various provisions of the J&K Excise Act in entire Jammu division. The Excise Team Kathua under the command of ETO Excsie Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta and ETO
Eradication & Enforcement Wing Jammu Suresh Sharma raided the Keengdayal, Sitdayal, Dadoli, Jakhbardambra, Maichak, Chartyala, Ladwal, Parsochak, Kundechak, Dhabwal and Saktachak areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process more than 2850 kilo grams of Lahan, 116 bottles and 60 pouches of illicit liquor made from Lahan, which is highly injurious to health was recovered by the raiding team which was later destroyed by the team on spot. Further, one person namely Seema wife of Amir Chand of Parsochak was arrested under section 48 of the J&K Excise Act, 1958 by the team. One working still was also seized & later destroyed by the raiding team. |
