People stage protest against shortage of water 6/10/2016 11:48:38 PM Early Times Report rajouri, June 10: The irate residents of W-5 near Pahari Hostel Rajouri district today held a strong protest and blocked main road against acute shortage of drinking water in the village. Raising slogans against the PHE department, the protesters alleged that the PHE authorities are deliberately ignoring some selected locations in the name of shortage while they are providing ample supply to the other localities. They alleged that PHE officials are ignoring their sufferings caused due to the absence of drinking water supply in this hot weather conditions and today held a protest near Pahari Hostel. Among protestors Shahnwaz and Mohd Tariq who also hailed from W-5 have appealed the minister concerned to transfer all local employees and depute non locals because local employees are working under the influence of some particular politicians and allegedly are breaking the routine supply of drinking water. Protestors gathered at BGSBU Chowk demanded action against the concerned officials for not restoring water supply in the area.
