One day 'Save Reservation Convention' organized | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 12: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC organizations, J & K Chapter organized one day 'Save Reservation Convention' in Tagore hall Srinagar in order to discuss the burning issues of reserved categories. The function was attended by large number of ST/SC/OBC activists. The confederation had extended invitation to CM, Dy.CM and all Ministers and legislatures belonging to Reserved Categories, but to the surprise of all only two MLAs of PDP Ch. Qamar Hussain (Rajouri) and Raja Mansoor Khan (Karnah) reached in the function who have appreciated the efforts of Confederation in protecting rights of reserved categories. The speakers assails the attitude of all other Ministers and MLAs of Reserved Categories who did not bother to attend the function and doing nothing inside and outside the house to get the reservation in promotion restored at the earliest. Both the MLAs requested the office bearer of confederation not to go for protest march as CM was supposed to attend the function who could not do so due to modal code of conduct, however, they assured that issue of reservation in promotion will be raised in the house on Tuesday and get the reservation in promotion restored in the ongoing session only as the reservation act 2004 was enacted during the regime of late Chief Minister Mufti Mohmad Sayed. They stated that Madam CM has full faith in the policies of her late father and is very keen to restore the provisions of Reservation Act/Rules. |
