Re-employs blue eyed boys on top positions

Jammu, June 12: In clear violation of government order to revoke all re-employment order issued by government entities, the authorities of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra continues to utilize services of blue eyed officers.
According to sources, despite government's ban, influential officers are enjoying prize posting in university administration.
"All the re-employment orders issued by various government departments are revoked with immediate effect", GAD order number 384/2015 dated March 17, 2015 read, adding that all the engagement made by the different department, Public Sector Undertaking, Boards, Autonomous bodes under any scheme against sanctioned posts without any selection procedure, ever on contractual basis, shall cease to exist with immediate effect.
"Ajay Khajuria, retired as director agriculture from J&K department, is holding the position of registrar in the varsity since mid February 2014, Prof V Verma who had retired from his service in same university, is also enjoying re-employment soon after his retirement", sources said, alleging that these people were re-employed in violation of laid norms for re-employment.
They further said that according to GAD order the services of these officers were to be revoked with immediate effect. "Since, duo using their proximity with out-going vice chancellor had secured their jobs", sources said, adding that the former VC Prof SK Jain, had also re-appointed his blue eyed boy against post of director and dean.
"Dr Ajay Koul was reappointed as director I/c, School of computer science and engineer on October 4, 2015. Dr Varun Kumar Tripathi was reappointed as director, School of Philosophy and Culture and Dr V K Bhat was reappointed as Dean, Faculty of Sciences on October 5, 2015", sources said, adding that trio were awarded with another term by the then vice-chancellor.
They said the trio who were given another terms by the university administration were not eligible for the post of director and dean at time, their first assignment against these posts.
"Whoever, the vice-chancellor, prior to his retirement had confirmed one of his blue eyed as associate professor", they added.
