Who would believe Sangh unhappy with govt decision to ban Abhinav yatra? | All part of conspiracy | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 12: Reports in a section of media suggest that the RSS was not happy with the decision of the PDP-BJP coalition government to ban the Abhinav Gupt yatra, which was to take place on June 11 but which didn't happen as both the PDP and the BJP had two days ago made it loud and clear that the government will not allow the scheduled yatra to take place. The decision of the state government came following vehement opposition in Kashmir to the yatra from Kashmiri separatists of all hues and Kashmiri civil society groups. The authorities in Budgam district sealed all the roads leading to the Abhinav Gupt cave in the Beerwah area of Kashmir as per the orders of the political establishment and said that they scuttled the yatra for maintaining law and order in the area. The failed Abhinav Gupt yatra was organized under the banner of Acharaya Abhinav Gupt Sheshadri Samroh Samiti, headed by Art of Living Foundation founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Abhinav Gupt was a great Shaivite philosopher from Kashmir who, it is believed, died in the cave, along with hundreds of his disciples and followers, on January 4, 1016. Interestingly, the concluding function of the much-talked about Abhinav Gupt yatra was held on Saturday at the Kheer Bhawani in Ganderbal district. What an irony! The Hindus cannot visit the places they hold very sacred. Such things could happen only in the Indian state, which has been virtually taken over by the anti-Hindu forces. Reports suggest that the RSS leadership was "not convinced with the 'immature' decision taken by the coalition regime, of which the BJP is a partner, to ban the yatra without going through the historical facts" and added that "as the BJP ministers in the coalition were echoing the anti-yatra statements of their PDP colleagues in the government, Dattatreya Hosabale, Sah-Sarkaryawah of RSS especially came to the Valley to attend the concluding function of the yatra to give a message to the saffron party". Reports quoting a senior Sangh Parivar leader further said: "The decision of the state government to ban the yatra had not gone down well with various organizations of the Sangh Parivar because the announcement to not allow the yatra was taken after pressure from Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other separatist groups of the Valley. The BJP ministers were asked to convey this message (the handling of the yatra) to the coalition partner PDP because there is a feeling (among Sangh Parivar) that succumbing before the separatists on such issues is giving a wrong impression. The BJP representatives in the government also failed to take up the issue effectively before the coalition partner". No one would believe that the RSS and its non-BJP affiliates were unhappy with the state government's decision to disallow the scheduled yatra. The BJP is the political organ of the RSS and to say that the BJP ignored the RSS would be to go too far. The fact of the matter is that the RSS, the BJP and other affiliates of the RSS are chips of the same block and that all of them worked in tandem to scuttle the yatra and save the government. The RSS and its non-BJP affiliates had done the same during the cow-killing and beef-eating row as well as in the wake of imposition of 12.5% jaziya tax on chopper service to the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and other sacred places of the Hindus. So much so, the RSS and its affiliates, including the BJP, fired two law officers (from RSS-BJP quota) to save the government. Had the RSS and its affiliates, including VHP and Bajrang Dal meant what they had said, things would have been quite different. These organizations had declared in Jammu that they would launch a nation-wide agitation in case the yatra was scuttled. The fact that neither the RSS nor its outfits like VHP raised even a little finger against the government decision only shows that all of them were part of the game. |
