Cong holds protest against BJP Govt in Centre, State 6/12/2016 10:58:49 PM Kathua, June 12: Former Minister and General Secretary JKPCC, led large number of party workers and staged a protest at Main Chowk Kathua against the state and central leadership of BJP while describing that there seems no government on the ground realities. Addressing the protestors and office bearers of District Congress Committee Kathua, the Congress leader said that the recent hike in petroleum prices and other essential commodities further worsened the situation. Dr Sharma questioned the Ministers and MLA's of BJP about the non availability of ration, sugar, power and drinking water which tantamount to the basic needs and why they are the mute spectators even had failed to utter a word on the floor of House to ensure redressal of problems. Dr Sharma further said the condition of water supply is in the worst affected and people have to fetch drinking water from long distances in far flung areas as Water Supply Schemes (WSS) started by previous Cong NC government are lying defunct due to the non availability of funds . Congress leader also asked about the fate of promise made by the BJP leadership to the people of border districts of state to provide 5 marlas plots on safer places Among others who also addressed the protestors were Subash Gupta Ex MLC, Babu Singh Ex Minister Girdhari Lal Chalotra Ex MLA, Naresh Sharma Ex president MC Kathua, Rattan Chand Karotra SP (Retd) and office bearers of District Congress Committee Kathua.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
