Youth Congress demands start work on power project

Kishtwar, June 12: Subash Chander Block President Congress Sewa Dal Nagseni urged state as well as Central Government to start work on Pakal Dul, Kero, Kawar, Rattle, Burser, Karthi hydroelectric projects so that the unemployed local youths of the district could be absorbed in these projects and power could be also generated.
He also said the work on the Rattle hydroelectric project Drabshalla was left half way by its client M/s GVK for the reason best known to the Government, which instead of blacklisting the client, gave safe passage to leave the work of the project and no penalty was imposed on GVK.
He further said that unemployment is increasing day by day and government is not serious towards un employment youths.
He urged upon Union Power Project Piysuh Goel and Chief Minister Mehooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh to personally look in the matter. They also said if project do not start at the earliest Sewa Dal will launch protest demonstration.
