RDD's building now shelter for nomads 6/12/2016 11:45:29 PM Danish Mohammad Banihal, June 12: A guest house constructed by Rural development department( RDD) Banihal in Tulbag area on Chanjloo Banihal road some three years ago has been abandoned and has now become a rest house for the nomads. This building, having three rooms, kitchen and washroom are is now in dilapidated conditions. Locals allege that the department had constructed this building only for earning commissions. The building now stands in a miserable condition and no one owns it. Locals further said that last year department constructed another building in front of the this building in the name of CIC and spent lakhs of rupees on twin buildings, wasting public exchequer. Meanwhile, the building has now been converted into a rest house for the profligates and the nomads passing through this way. Locals are questioning the purpose of RDD in constructing these buildings.
