Jammu, June 19: Anganwadi workers and Helpers to go on mass leave on July 12 to hold 'Halla Bhol' rally in support of demands to release pending salary last 5 Months increase in salary of Anganwadi workers and Helper the wages are very low and prices of essential commodities is very high therefore poor worker are facing finical hard ship.
Addressing media persons, spokesperson said the state Govt paying very less salary and Anganwadi workers getting Rs 3500/- P.M and Helper Rs 1800/- P.M including state share of Rs 537 P.M to Anganwadi worker Rs 300/- P.M to Helper where as Haryana Government is paying state share Rs 4700/- total 7500/-P.M to Anganwadi workers and 2300/-total 3800/- P.M to helper in other states i.e. Punjab, Delhi Pondicherry and others it is higher than J & K state and Association also reject the statement of Minister for increasing just Rs 500 for Aganwadi workers where as all the MLA across the party line unitedly demanding six fold salary hike for themselves but not take interest for workers.
Association has urged to state Govt to accept the genuine demands of workers and demanded from the government since 2004 for hike in salary but workers are exploiting very badly as number of duties are being taken for number of Departments with payment of very less wages.
Swarna Choudhary, Neelam Sharma general secretary, Ashok Choudhary General Secretary Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu Kashmir, Sushma Devi, Kamlesh Devi, Perseno Devi Koushalya Devi, Nirmal Devi, Soma Devi Chintpumi, AnjuDevi, Raksha Kumari and other were present during press conference.
