Early times report Udhampur, June 19: Students of Omala are nowadays up in arms against the village patwari over his alleged absence in the office. "Those who have applied for various revenue documents to support their scholarship schemes in various institutions, have to return disappointed as the concerned patwari is not found in office," students alleged. "I am in need of a state subject (PRC) for which I need some documents from the concerned patwari, but he is not available in his office," said rahul , a student. "Many students will lose the opportunity of getting scholarships if they fail to submit required revenue documents in respective institutions," Retika and Arun, both residents of Omala said. Though students tried to contact him, his cellphone had been on switched off mode, they alleged, saying that they had complained against him to the higher authorities, but no action was taken. Rajat and Avishak said they had not been able to get their land record copies due to the patwari's alleged absence in office. When contacted, girdawar Rajesh said he too was facing the same problem due to his junior's absence. Naib-tehsildar Vinod Badyal said he had asked the patwari to get regular with his duties. "I will make sure that people do not suffer anymore," he added. |
