| No place for PoK refugees in BJP's heart: Chuni | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, June 19: S. O. S. International Chairman Rajiv Chuni stated that BJP and RSS that used to claim themselves as frontrunner to keep the interests of Hindus have drastically made a U-turn after the elections, adding BJP and RSS are seeing the interest of only Kashmir.
Chuni further said that Legislative Proceedings are underway for the last 3 weeks and the whole proceedings are focused over Kashmir; Jammu sees nowhere as none of the legislators have been seen raising issues pertaining to Jammu and PoK Refugees. Legislature has gone totally Kashmir Centric. The amount which is being spent on legislature proceedings is not fetching anything good for Jammu region as taxpayers' money of Jammu division contributes 75% in collecting taxes as compared to Kashmir region which contributes only 25%. This is yet another example of discrimination with Jammu division that play far bigger role in powering Legislative Proceedings. Jammu is again facing apathy of BJP MLAs who are representing them in Legislative Assembly moreover; they remain mum when it turns to raise the issues of larger public interest of Jammu division particularly of PoK DPs", S. O. S. International Chairman stated. He further stated that two Coalition partners i.e. BJP-PDP are playing 'Noorakushti' just keeping dust into the eyes of people of Jammu by keeping the interest of Jammu especially the issue of PoK DPs in cold storage.
He further said that prior to the parliamentary elections BJP took out the Refugees Adhikar Yatra from Poonch to Kathua led by Jugal Kishore Sharma to show BJP's commitment to solve the issues of PoK DPs. " Jugal that time had announced PoK DPs issue will be redressed once their Government would come in power but after elections the same turns hostile towards PoK DPS who voted them to power. Since, BJP has come into power both Centre and State has never raised concerns of PoK DPs problems in any public platform whether it's Parliament or Assembly. PoK DPs have always been cheated on one pretext or the other by various political parties but BJP has cheated us in particular.
"Party leaders visit at our doorsteps only during election periods and after polls they get disappeared but there is only one organization that has been working day and night, round the clock, 24x7 for the rights of PoK DPs so that justice could be delivered to them which has been denied for the last 7 decades. S. O. S. International is giving last ultimatum to Government to resolve our issues as per Previous Government's resolution till the end of October 2016 otherwise PoK DPs will launch an ultimate struggle to get their rights during Darbar move" he added. He made appeal to PoK DPs to get ready for the final battle to get justice so that Government compels to deliver justice as earliest.
