Teaching fraternity accuses CEO of violating transfer mela norms to help 'blue- eyed' | | |  M S Nazki

Poonch, Aug 1: Alleging pick and choose policy to accommodate blue eyed, in recent transfers in education sector, the agitated teachers today said that Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch have violated the norms of transfer policy by adopting pick and choose method leaving deserving to sulk over sources said here today. In a scathing attack on Chief Education Officer Poonch Lal Hussain and Zonal Education officer Harni, the fuming teachers including ReTs staged a protest demonstration and said that pick and choose policy to accommodate blue eyed while other deserving teachers were left out whose postings once again have been done irrationally in far flung area which include handicapped and females also. The agitating teachers took out a protest march from Harni to Mendhar where they were joined by the teachers of Mankote and Mendhar zones. They raised slogans against CEO Poonch and DSE Jammu and blocked the Mendhar Jammu road for two hours. Taking to Early Times Vijeyta Kapoor a teacher in Govt Higher Secondary School Mendhar said that she had brought to the notice of her principal the resentment about her transfer, the said principal instead listening to her problem misbehaved with her. Meanwhile Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) Thakur Sher Singh and SDPO Shahid Naeem reached on the spot and pacified the agitating teachers by assuring them their demand will be raised at relevant fora and with this assurance the agitators lifted the dharna Meanwhile Chairman youth chub Mendhar advocate Nadeem Khan has also urged the concerned authorities to accommodate the deserving teachers suitably to avoid any untoward controversy. |
