Reliable sources in Education department informed Early Times that previous year District Development Board meeting, chaired by the then Minister for Science and Technology and Animal Husbandry Sajad Gani Lone in which BJP MLA (Doda) Shakti Raj Parihar and MLA (Bhaderwah) Deelap Singh Parihar had adopted the city Boys Higher Secondary Schools of their constituencies to develop them as model school, which are already in good health, having sufficient staff and infrastructure but astoundingly another board meeting was held the legislators has failed to fulfill the decision made in previous year. Both leaders constituency, scores of schools which have been lingering on for staff, infrastructure, road connectivity beside other requirements but astoundingly these leaders didn't adopt such schools. It indicates that no problem would be encountered by these MLAs when their report card would be checked by higher command. The callous approach can be gauged from the fact that another board meeting was held, the legislators still failed to release funds for these adopted schools", sources said, adding that another two Higher Secondary Schools (Kastigarh and Dessa) which was announce to adopt by BJP MLA, Neelam Kumar Langeh in same board meeting but the schools were still craving for funds. In this Board meeting, GHSS Doda which was announce to adopt by Sajad Gani Lone and another two schools announce to adopt by congress leaders GHSS Malnoo adopts by MLA, GM Saroori and GHSS Bhaderwah adopted by MLC Bhaderwah, Naresh Gupta but till date not a single penny was released their Community Development Funds (CDF) to these schools. When contacted Chief Education Officer, Doda, he accepted and said that time and again department had written to these legislators for release of funds to these schools but legislators didn't respond. "He had discussed the matter with legislators in 2016 DDB meeting and submit the plan for utilization of funds and hoped that within two or three months the legislators will be released funds", he said. |
