Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 1: Four show cause notices have been served upon a Superintendent of Police (SP), who is posted in Jammu district, by a senior police officer for violating his directives. "The SP, apart from violating the senior officer's orders, also does not report to him. Bypassing him, he directly reports to another senior police officer," police sources alleged. He has also remained posted in Jammu as DSP, but after his promotion as SP, he was transferred to another district. He was transferred to Jammu on someone's recommendation some time back and posted as SP against an available vacancy. "Though the post falls under the operational command of district police, the wing is different," sources informed. Sources said after the senior officer issued him four 'show cause notices' one after the other to explain as to why he was ignoring his orders, he proceeded on a leave for 2-3 days. "Though his leave has ended now and he has started coming to office, the tension between the two has yet not eased. The senior officer continues to ask him to report to him," sources alleged. Sources alleged that despite so much of pressure of the senior officer, the SP continued to report to the latter's senior, ignoring all his directives. "As the tussle between the two shows no signs of receding, it has become a topic of discussion in the department," sources alleged. |
