Jammu, Aug 1: In the mysterious disappreance of Adv Raman Wazir since Sunday morning from Nagrota on the city outskirts, the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, has submitted a representation to the high court Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar.
Taking a serious view of the matter, the CJ directed to treat the Bar's representation as Habeas Corpus petition and asked the registry to list this matter before the bench tomorrow at 8.30 am.
Meanwhile, First Puisine Judge Ramalingam Sudhakar also spoke to the director general of police in this regard. The bar president spoke to IGP, Jammu, who assured that every possible effort would be made to locate the missing advocate.
The bar's office bearers held a meeting with Justice Sudhakar twice in this regard. Meanwhile, the bar association has decided to suspend the work on August 2, ie tomorrow, in all the disrict courts and the Jammu wing of high court. The work remained suspended today also.
The matter was also discussed threadbare in a meeting attended by the bar's office bearers under the chairmanship of bar president Abhinav Sharma. |
