Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 1: People, including truckers, and vehicles carrying Amarnath pilgrims, continued to travel during night on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway to avoid protests and other disturbances during the day specially in south Kashmir. There are no restrictions on the plying of vehicles on the highway, linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, during the day, a traffic police official told . But, he said, majority of the people prefer to travel during the night, particularly between Srinagar and Jawahar tunnel, to avoid protests during the day. |
