Under garb of yatra, Kathua MVD minting money | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Aug 1: While people blamed Kashmir turbulent for interruption of Amarnath ji Yatra, they forget that the system right from gateway of J&K is turbulent. One side Dy CM Nirmal Singh ensured facilities of tourists during yatra to holy cave, on the other side, RTO Kathua himself accepted to collect 4.5 lakhs as fine during this month, of Amarnath yatra. Tall claims of BJP appeared fading up due to lack of coordination with officials. Despite of having all requisite documents, passenger tourist vehicles are being harassed everyday by Motor vehicle department, MVD at Kathua. MVD seizes tourist vehicles and asks passengers to shift on other cabs that make their trip hard. One such case came into light today when a tourist bus bearing registration number UP-22T 9404 on its way to holy cave today seized without any particular enquiry or base. Driver Malkeet Singh, who was uncertain about its seizure, said he shifted passengers to another vehicle and waiting to know the reason of his seizure. He said despite of having all documents, RTO Kathua seized his vehicle with unknown reason. He informed that number of such vehicles were seized during Amarnath yatra and left later on after imposing fine. He said there is no proper check by high officers and Transport minister that instigates MVD Kathua to do what they think. RTO Kathua informed that MVD Kathua collected 4.5 lakh as fine in July month. He said it's not possible to check all vehicles in a day so department checks the vehicles randomly. He said no body violating MVD rule will be spared and ensured to leave this seized vehicle after brief documentary verification form registration office where the vehicle is registered. |
