Marketing checking conducted, erring hoteliers, traders booked 9/9/2016 10:46:47 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 9: Ahead of Eid-ul-Zuha to enforce rates fixed by the government for various commodities including mutton and chicken shops, the special checking squads of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Public distribution (CA&PD) Department have booked 392 traders for violation of various norms and rules. Official spokesperson said, "Assistant Directors along-with Area Inspectors/TSOs/ police/ revenue authorities in each district inspected several business establishments i.e. shops, and hotels, sweet shops, meat and chicken shops and imposed fine of Rs 61550/- from erring traders for violating various provisions of essential commodities act, non-displaying of rate list, over charging, use of domestic cylinder for commercial purposes, etc. Special emphasis was laid upon to check the mutton and chicken shops and Rs 15000/- fine was imposed on traders for committing various violations including maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness.
