Daily Wagers protest against misbehavior of MS-SSH | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 8: Daily Wagers and Need based workers of Government Medical College and its Associated Hospitals today held protest demonstration against the misbehavior of Medical Superintendent (MS) of Super Specialty Hospital (SSH) Jammu for his alleged manhandling with some daily wagers. Protestors were also demanding for medical examination of MS as they alleged that he was under influence of liquor during duty hours when incident took place. While talking to media persons, the protesters said that the Medical Superintendent Super Specialty Hospital (SSH) has been harassing the daily wagers since they decided to go on strike in support of their demands viz releasing of pending honorarium for the last 30 months and etc. "On Friday the MS-SSH has asked to handover keys of the gas plants and others units to the hospital administration which was refused as we are working under Mechanical Department of PWD Division GMC and its associated and keys will be handed over to senior officials of parent department. The protestors alleged, adding, "MS got angry over this and started abusing the staff on duty." They further alleged that the MS-SSH was under influence of liquor during duty hours when the incident occurred. They further alleged since the strike of daily wagers was announced the Principal GMC Jammu even Medical Superintendent of Chest and Diseases Hospital Jammu pressurized their counterpart to join their duties. Protestors also said that they have lodhed a written complaint against MS of SSH Jammu with Police Station Baskhi Nagar to seek action in this regard. Meanwhile they also warned that all workers working at various hospitals under GMC&H Jammu shall join the strike. |
