Jammu, Sept 9: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) today staged protest demonstration against Deputy Chief Minister, for what they termed as, ignoring Jammu centric issues. While welcoming the decision of Chief Minister of J&K directing traffic cops to stop challans in Kashmir till Eid, NPSU questioned the BJP legislature who is representing Jammu region as Deputy CM why he is silent on the Jammu cause and why not to ask traffic cops not to challan during navratras, Diwali, Dushera. The activists of NPSU gathered at University main gate and shouted slogans against Dy. CM, 'Nirmal Teray Raj mai andher hi andher hai', 'Jammu say bhed bhaw bandth karo, bandh karo'. The angry protestors burned the effigy of Dy. CM for failing to come up with the promises made by Dy. C.M. While lambasting the Dy. CM, Virender Singh said that before elections BJP have pronounced loud slogans of cutting the discrimination with Jammu region. By they have failed to do so, as, a fresh example of discrimination have come of not challaning the people of Kashmir. NPSU questioned Dy. CM what 'sin Jammuites have done' why not traffic cops are directed to stop challan in Jammu.Others who were present in the protest demonstration included Rishi Badyal, Bhanu Rajput, Pratap Singh, Shubam, Chetan Sharma, Bannu and others. |
