Shooting for Telugu film on 2016 agitation in Valley ends | ‘Rose Garden' is based on love story between Kashmiri girl and Hindu boy’ | | Majid Nabi Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 31: Amid heightened tension between India and Pakistan on the borders and continuous unrest in Kashmir, a Telugu film 'Rose Garden' based on a love story between a Kashmiri Muslim girl and a Hindu boy completed successfully after one month shoot. Ravi Kumar, the director of the film extended his hearty gratitude to the state government and local populace for their overwhelming support for successfully reaching to the 'end seen'. "We successfully concluded the one month shoot of my film 'Rose Garden' whose shots were filmed at different locations including, picturesque Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Yousmarg, Mughal gardens and some parts of (Srinagar) city. We are really grateful to the state government and people of Kashmir for their support," Kumar told reporters at a presser here. He said that it took him a month to complete the film which is based on the present political situation of Kashmir triggered after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in July this year. Kumar said that he got the permission from state government while police made adequate arrangements of security for the crew. "We did not witness any obstruction during this period while the response of the Kashmiri people was really awesome. I must say that whatever has been portrayed about Kashmir in media was absolutely incorrect. The fact of matter is that the people here are loving and caring," he said. Kumar said that film involves some shots on violence including stone pelting, but he did not divulge the details as to where these shots were taken. He said the film is based on a love story between a Kashmiri Muslim girl and a Hindu boy who in the film had come here to cover the ongoing uprising. Suparna Shetty, the actress of the film whose name in this picture is Sanna, said that she fell in love with Kashmir due to its mesmerizing beauty. "I cannot describe in words what actually I am feeling. Kashmir is really a paradise on earth. This was our debut film but the way people here supported us really encouraged us. I should not hesitate to say that whatever is being portrayed about Kashmir was false. Don't make a hasty decision about people of Kashmir, they are lovely. This would be my message to the people living in India," said Suparna. Nitin Ash, the male actor of 'Rose Garden' said that he too enjoyed a lot in Kashmir and would like to come here again. |
