BJP minister humiliates party men Luncheon Goof Up 10/31/2016 11:19:56 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 31: A senior BJP leader who is in the habit of making mistakes did it again, this time by humiliating his party colleagues by setting up two enclosures- one exclusively for VVIPs in his government and the other one separately for his party leaders and functionaries. The occasion was the luncheon organized by him in connection with Diwali festivities. Sources said the minister angered his party leaders and functionaries by treating them as what the latter took as second class treatment meted out to them in pushing them to a separate place whereas a special set up was created for the VVIPs who included Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, her cabinet members, bureaucrats, legislators besides top officers in the security grid. Sources said what came as a huge embarrassment to the party leaders was that the BJP Minister who played like a 'perfect' host while welcoming the guests himself guided the two categories of guests to go in the particular direction where their seating arrangement was made in separate enclosures. What was even more degrading gesture was that the Minister asked a few choicest leaders of the party including BJP's state President to go towards the VVIP enclosure and be seated with them, while rest of partymen were asked to remain in the space meant for them. Sources said even as arrangement for lunch was made separately in the two enclosures,(no one knowing whether discrimination was in the food items as well), at least three party leaders who felt very insulted at this discriminatory treatment left the venue of the function even without having a glass of water. They are the founder members of the party who have joined BJP much before the senior minister associated himself with politics, sources said. Today's episode once again angered rank and file of the state unit of BJP who were seen making whispers that minister not only made them feel degraded but also tried to create a divide within the party by making some feel special while ignoring others and creating a separate arrangement for them.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
