Kashmiri youth being dragged towards Talibani culture 10/31/2016 11:15:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 31: Expressing serious concern and anguish over the destruction of the centers of learning and training in Kashmir, the former union minister, Chaman Lal Gupta felt that all this was being done to drag the younger generation towards Talibani culture, a path of violence and a great danger to the civilized world. This, he said, has inflicted serious wounds to humanity in Afghanistan and some other parts of the world. And it needed to be dealt with a heavy hand. Gupta observed that it was a strange struggle (Jehad) that educational institutions have been forced to be closed and the school buildings are being set ablaze. During past over three months about thirty buildings including some of historic nature, have been burnt and old records ruined. Even the big building of EDI at Pampore near Srinagar, where thousands of youth used to have training in various trades and crafts, has been badly damaged due to infiltration of terrorists. All this, he pointed out, clearly indicates that how much sinister path has been adopted by the "Jehadis" acting upon the dictates from across the LOC and borders. In the name of Azadi a strange movement has been launched. The hartals and violence is being perpetrated. Lakhs are being forced to go by the calendar being issued by controversial characters. Peace loving people have been made to act as hostages, the evil design is also evident that the younger ones are being led to be illiterate and jobless, moreso, to become stone pelters and then gun totting criminals including terror commanders, he added and said that even the poor vendors, auto pliers, dhabewalas and others are being targeted with petrol bombs, stones, sticks, slaps and fests. He said that most ridiculous part of whole trouble is that if at all the police and law enforcing authorities act, the hue and cry is raised by dubious characters on the plea of human rights.
