Indira Gandhi's 32nd Death Anniversary observed

Jammu, Oct 31: Rich tributes were paid to the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 32nd death anniversary today across State.
Congress Party held a function at Indira Chowk, Jammu and paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 32nd death anniversary. President JKPCC and former Minister along with senior functionaries of PCC, DCC and other senior leaders of the party including frontal organizations garlanded the statue of Indira Gandhi and offered floral tributes to her on the occasion. Rich tributes were also paid to Sardar Patel, one of the greatest stalwart of the country, on his birth anniversary today and his services in the freedom struggle and in the strengthening and consolidation of the country after independence were recalled. Senior Vice President Sham Lal Sharma while paying rich tributes to madam Gandhi recalled her supreme sacrifice for the unity and integrity of the country and said that she enhanced the image of India in the community of nations by her farsighted stewardship and India emerged as a strong nation under her leadership. He also laid stress on strengthening the principle for which Congress party and Indira Gandhi always stood for and laid down her life and to fight against the forces of communalism and fundamentalism who pose threat to the unity and integrity of the country.
Youth Congress (YC) Ramban paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 32 death anniversary and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary in a simple but impressive function at Batote today. YC leader Ramban Shahrukh Bhatti said as the nation celebrates the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October, we remember him alongside former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi who was martyred on this day.
District Congress unit Kathua paid rich tribute to first woman and former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi on her 33th death anniversary here at Congress District head quarter Kathua under the leadership of Pankaj Dogra, pardesh Congress secretary and District (acting) President. Flowers and garlands were offered to the picture of former Pm of India.
Unit Vijaypur today paid rich tributes to the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary at Vijaypur. Scores of Congress workers under the leadership District Vice President Babbal Gupta paid floral tributes and remembered the contribution of the Indira Gandhi.
